Expression Engine Plugin - Single Field

I wanted to do Flickr style prev/next linking for my single view entries page in Expression Engine, but the {exp:weblog:next_entry} tag does not provide any useful tags except . I needed to pull data from a custom field I created called thumbnail in order to do the Flickr prev/next links. So, this plugin does just that. You pass the entry id of the entry you are viewing and the name of the field you want to return:

I finally got around to putting up my portfolio/professional website - roylindauer.com. I got the bug friday night to work on it and within 5 hours I had a design I liked and had cutup most of the html/css website. I spent a few more hours throughout the weekend tweaking some things and populating the portfolio. I gotta give it up for Expression Engine again for making it so easy get a site up and running.

I look up to Andy Rutledge. Sometimes I forget that and then I stumble upon one of his articles and am quickly reminded. This article, “Don’t walk; Run” is great break down of some of the warning signs of shady design agencies, as well as what you should look for in competent design agencies. I was sent an article about “Top 5 programming languages you should know in 2008” and to be honest I have to disagree with it almost completely. Number 5 is Ruby on Rails. I have no idea why Ruby on Rails is there, it is not a programming language, it’s a framework for Ruby. Should just say Ruby, but then no one will give a fuck. Anyways, that one is off my list. Strike one.

Psilogod vs Ecsyle - a Playa Gift

Psilogod approached me with an idea for a playa gift for Burning Man this year. He put together a cd of original music and wanted my original artwork to go along with it. Kind of a way to share our art with everyone in one nice package. This is the final product. Kind of a good vs evil, journey to enlightenment feel to it.

It’s a neverending battle. Charter Communications is an absolutely terrible provider. We started our service 3 months ago, and since then it has been a joke. But I am not laughing.
